Hi...I'm Chris and this is my website. I'm involved in marching band, musical theater, space stuff, and anything else that's fun. Our marching band finished the season at State and recieved a superior with distinction and 5 captions. Next year we are planning on going to the Fiesta Bowl National Band Competition.

Adv. Space Academy & Aviation Challenge

I spent two weeks at Aviation Challenge and Advanced Space Academy in Huntsville, Alabama. During Aviation Challenge I got to fly in sims, learn about land and water survival, and do lots of other great stuff. At the end of the week we had the E&E exercise, where we had to patrol, cross a river in a boat and get through the course without being caught by counselors. In Advanced Space Academy I learned about the space program and how to fly the shuttle. I also did missions in the space station and mission control. At the end of the week, our team participated in a 6-hour EDM (or extended duration mission) which was a blast. I highly recommend either of these programs to anyone.

In my english class we are given a new topic each day that we are required to write 2 pages on. This is my writing on the topic "love":
"What I Have Learned"
Love is something that everyone builds up to be a wonderful thing. It is, until the day when someone stops loving you. One of the worst feelings in the world is loving someone so much and not being loved back. I feel that once you say the words "I love you", ou will always feel that way about someone, no matter how much you tell others or yourself taht you don't love them anymore. You can't just decide not to love someone anymore. It doesn't work that way.
THis feeling of being unloved is one of the worst things about the end of a relationship. My experience with guys has shown me that most of them don't want to try and work things out or make things better. I see this attitude as lazy and weak. I don't understand how a period of time that's not as great can be a more powerful influence toward the decision to break up than the love shared between two people for such a long time.
Breaking up with someone you love is one of the hardest things to do, but you learn to let go, day by day. THrowing away pictures won't destroy the momories. The only thing that will make it better is to realize that you are a strong person and you will be ok. Each day will bring less tears and more happiness, and you will smile for a little bit longer.
THe most important thing in a relationship is to feel that you don't deserve each other. You should feel lucky every day taht you get the opportunity to spend time with someone so special. THe one benefit of ending a relationship is your friends. You get to realize how much love your friends have for you that isn't lessened by problems or hard times. If anything, it becomes stronger. You can always trust your friends to come through for you in the end. And, no matter what happends in the end, always remember that you will be ok.
